GET PROMOTING GENERAL PRACTICE COMPETITION - VIEW WINNING VIDEO

In the lead up to the 2010 AMSA Convention, AGPT ran a joint video competition with AMSA: Get Promoting General Practice.
The competition aimed to engage medical students in the promotion of general practice as a career of choice and to help break down barriers and stigma attached to the profession.
The winning and runner up videos were announced on Friday 9 July by Anne Messenger, GPET Senior Manager Communications and Marketing and Professor Jeff Ayton, President ACRRM.
The winning team, made up of three, fourth year medical students from UWS: Mercia Eminoglu, Sashie Howpage and Aarani Somaskanthan, received $4,500 in cash ($1,500 each). The runners up each took home a copy of Professor John Murtagh’s General Practice Companion Handbook.

The winning video was a hit at the AMSA Convention and received a huge round of applause from the medical students!!
