Stage Two - national assessment

Detailed information regarding stage two of the AGPT application and selection process can be found on pages 65 - 78 of the

2017 AGPT Applicant Guide (PDF 4.6MB)
2017 AGPT Applicant Guide (DOCX 10.7MB)

During stage two of the application and selection process eligible applicants must attend both a National Testing Centre (NTC) and a National Assessment Centre (NAC).

IMPORTANT NOTICE: Applicants must attend two separate assessments, which may be held on two separate days:

  • Situational Judgement Test (SJT) - to be held at designated national testing centres (NTC) throughout Australia only.
The SJTs will be held from 21 October - 31 October 2016.
    Instructional video available.
  • Multiple Mini Interviews (MMI) - to be held at designated national assessment centres (NAC) throughout Australia only.
MMIs will be held from 26 October - 7 November 2016.

Once an online application form is submitted, applicants will have access to the NTC/NAC online booking system. Bookings are on a first come first serve basis.

Applicants must ensure they book themselves into both the SJT and the MMI. Applicants may be required to travel to one or both of the assessments.

The standardised results of both assessments determine each applicant’s total AGPT Selection score. Applicants will be informed of their total AGPT Selection score on the 21 November and given the opportunity to review their training region preferences.

Depending on an applicant’s total AGPT Selection score and training region preferences it is established if the applicant can be shortlisted to a training region for consideration and a possible placement offer.
Please note: Applicants who attended an NTC/NAC during a previous year's application period will be required to attend both assessments again.
