Stage Three Process

During stage three of the application and selection process the regional training organisation that occupies the training region will examine the application and the applicant's total AGPT Selection score. Further placement assessments may be held which will take place from 1 - 9 December 2016.

Regional training organisation and training region placement assessments may vary between regions but may include:

  • Further review of the applicant's total AGPT Selection score 
  • Contacting nominated referees 
  • Face to face interviews 
  • Skype interviews 
  • Other assessments

Applicants are encouraged to contact their preferred regional training organisation prior to shortlisting to discuss the timing and types of placement assessment/s they are likely to be required for.

The AGPT Selection team is unable to provide applicants with detailed information regarding the regional training organisation and training region placements.  

The applicant will formally be notified in writing as to whether or not they have been offered a training place. The applicant must accept or decline the training place within seven days of receiving the offer.

Applicants will be notified if they have been successful or unsuccessful in being shortlisted to one of their nominated training region preferences on the
30 November 2016.

Selection into AGPT is completed once an applicant has accepted an offer.


Applicants should direct any requests for feedback on regional training organisation and training region placements to the training region they were shortlisted to, as this process is directly managed by the regional training organisation.
