Streamlined Medicare provider number application process for GP Registrars
The Department of Health and the Department of Human Services – Medicare (DHS) have made changes to the Medicare provider number application process for most GP registrars under the AGPT programme. These changes were introduced on Monday, 16 November 2015 with the aim of reducing waiting times for provider numbers.
This streamlined Medicare provider number application process is supported by a revised Request for GP Registrar Placement Form that will also serve as the Medicare provider number application for the GP registrar under AGPT.
The following document provides registrars with information about the Medicare provider number application process and completing request for GP registrar placements.
- Advice for Completing Requests for the GP Registrar Placements (PDF 528.1KB)
- Advice for Completing Requests for the GP Registrar Placements (DOCX 546.5KB)
